Here's how it works

1. Fill up in advance at less than pump price
When you pick up your hire car, choose to include a full tank of fuel in advance.

2. Lowest fuel rates guaranteed
To make sure you always get the best price, we’ll update our rates once a week.

3. Complete control
If you return the car and the tank isn’t full, you won’t face a refuelling charge to top it back up. Away you go with nothing more to pay. No last-minute trip to the petrol station. No fuel top-up charges.

Alternatively refuel the car before returning it, and we’ll remove the fuel purchase option from your final bill.

What is Fuel Purchase Option and how does it work?
For convenience, you may purchase a tank of fuel from Hertz at the time of rental, at a price that is competitive with local fuel stations. This method eliminates the need for you to refill the tank before returning. Please, be aware that we are unable to give a refund for unused fuel. Please check availability of FPO at time of pickup of the car.

Does the car come with a full tank of fuel?
Hertz rates do not include fuel.

Hertz vehicles are always provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank of fuel, or a local refuelling charge will apply.
